My sister Amy, her wonderful husband, Greg, and their adorable children (now full-fledged pre-teens) spent the weekend at The Hotel, and it went way too fast. We spent time swimming (of course), shopping (the "Escalada Madness" continues), and watching Julia perform in a Lake Dallas Choir fundraiser.
We had a wonderful weekend (although there were many "work" interruptions) and it was over all too soon.
Work is nearly complete on The Hotel Abandon Ultimate Summer CD Spectacular, which will be the only CD you will ever need to while away the hours basking in the sun, or enjoying cocktails at sunset; however, from the absymally low reaction level to the Spring Sampler (and the blog in general) I fear we may be cutting back on the list of those "Friends of the Hotel" who will be receiving this most excellent and exuberant celebration of summer (and for those of you who are confused, it means .... "no comments - - no love -- no CD" - you hear me? - and YES ladies, this means you!).
Much Love,
- The Proprietor

That looks like it could be your pool...is it?
Why of course, dear anonymous blogger, this is the view from The Hotel Abandon's "Q-Lagoon" taken this evening as the sun was setting behind the White Wisteria Tree.
can't wait to use the pool memorial day
I am sick of this "Nonny-mouse" person...I wish SHE (I know who you are!) would just get a freakin' blogger account already and quit hiding behind her (false) anonimity! (Love ya, Snoozin!)
It is Ms Mouse to you, Mr. Jackson. You just don't like me anymore because I am over 20. (way over 20):o)
who is anonymous? i was wondering that the other day
Well, Q, if you fail at your profession as an attorney, you can fall back on photograpy. I can't remember when I've had so many emotions invoked by a picture...awe, at the sheer beauty that nature can create, nostalgia, of the many hours floating in the pool, Anger, at the memory of you turning the pool up to 95 degrees ruining Paulie's and my quest for a refreshing dip after spending a hot exhausting day at Six Flags with your child and her friends (which we thorougly enjoyed!), and giddiness at the prospect of returning once again to the beautiful Q lagoon. Thank you for your hospitality and generosity, my friend.
Now send me my damn CD!
Sorry for that outburst at the end. It's just that you've spoiled me so. I fear you've created a sampler CD monster!
I'm not sure who anonymous is either...does she like napping with the sweet wind blowing above her?
Hint: Ms. Mouse is working with me in Grapes of Wrath and I am loving rekindling our friendship!
Mr. Jackson,
It cracks me up that you think you know who I am. Why on earth would I do anything with the Wrath of Grapes???
Ms Mouse
